This is a flyer from 1976 announcing the Festus Pettus Bionic Band appearance at the Barracks in Gulf Breeze Florida. We played there for a couple of months, driving from our new home in nearby Pensacola. The band had moved to Pensacola and rented an abandoned (almost ready to be condemned) boarding house called the Magnolia Board House. In its day it was a fancy place. It was big with two stories, a large front porch and palmettos in the front yard. It was pretty run down, with no electricity in some rooms, no heating or air conditioning and holes in the walls, ceilings and floors. But we loved it. I don't have any photos of the Magnolia Boarding House but some may exist...keep an eye on the web site in case one comes my way.
