When first formed, Sixshooter decided to sponsor a few local dances to allow the band to get tight and learn the material before trying to get club bookings. The guys rented the armory in Moulton Alabama on Saturday nights for a month or so. During this time Sixshooter spent a lot of time at rehearsals, either in the living room of Larry Smith's grandparents or in the Jaycees building in Moulton.
